Haldolium InterviewJanuary 17, 2017
If you were stuck on an desert island for a month, and all you could take was 3 books and 3 CD’s what would they be?
Jonathan Franzen - The Corrections
Jonathan Franzen - Freedom
David Foster Wallace - Infinite Jest
Recoil - Subhuman
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Township Rebellion - Vobia
Do you get nervous before a performance?
Yeah, actually yes. All the people, and you have to rely on the computer, and especially for my kind of music it's never 100% sure the audience will pick up the story..
Would you like to share with the Shankra family something about your project or your future projects?
Well, I'm working on my 11th album for haldolium, but this time I do it not all in a long row of productions, but I have some breaks to get new inspirations. Mainly from other projects that I do. That is library music for extrememusic.com, together with my friend Andreas Pique, and my Deephouse Project Kleiber, that slowly evolves.
If you could give a message to all the humanity, what would it be?
Education. Enlightenment. Humanism.
Your track remix of Pink Floyd’s “One of These Days” is still being played at parties; there is a specific reason why you choose this evergreen track?
There was a remake of this track from "Girls under Glas" - maybe mid 90's. It's hard to find these days.. I think it is NOT even online:) This one was a blast when played for Indie dancefloors. I listened to it thinking this is just unforgettable powerful and deep at the same time - and it's actually not so far away from trance.. so I decided to give it a try. Would say, that worked out:)
Which moment of your gig at Shankra Festival's last edition did you enjoyed the most?
The last 45 minutes was pretty much an improvisation and it was really big fun.. when I noticed the people were totally into and loving what I was doing, totally picking up on the stories and emotions the songs are telling.
What impressed you most of the Shankra Festival?
The people! A very mixed, positive and altogether pretty 'alternative' audience and party society. Like the old days! Really!
What do you think about the festival’s location?
Beautifully placed between the mountains.. Really absolute wonderful!
One word to describe yourself, and one word to describe Shankra Festival.
Me: Deep-Trancer - Shankra: Glow-In-The-Dark-Festival
What is your opinion regarding the festival’s organization?
Very professional, but also very heartful and familiar. Couldn't be any better.
During your professional career as a Dj, what is the track that you most prefered to play?
That is a very difficult question I wont be able to answer. There wasn't "the one" tune, there were always a few tunes that were rocking my world at that specific time in ... Read More
