Brainiac InterviewFebruary 10, 2017
During your professional career as a Dj, what is the track that you most prefered to play?
That is a very difficult question I wont be able to answer. There wasn't "the one" tune, there were always a few tunes that were rocking my world at that specific time in space.
Could you tell us, how you discovered the passion for psychedelic trance?
I discovered psychedelic trance by pure accident, and sometimes the things that come out of the blue hit you like a hurricane and keep you in the twist.
What is the latest project you're working on?
At the moment at 24/7 Records we (Materia, Waio, Sinerider and myself) are working really hard on a very interesting project. I don't want to reveal too much, just visit our Facebook pages for more info and updates on that.
What is a goal you would like to achieve in life?
Your project with Materia called Mindfold is getting well known, is there any plan to make an Album?
There is no specific plan yet, but we don't want to say no. At the moment our flow is a bit different and we have quite a few tracks in the pipeline that we will unleash one by one.
In addition to the genre psytrance, what other type of music do you listen to?
Pretty much everything really. If it's good, it's good. I am catching myself listening to a bit older music because even mainstream music rocked back then. If I listen to mainstream music today I feel sick 90% of the times.
Besides the passion for music, what other interests do you have?
I really love winter and summer sports. Anything that's on or in the water or snow I’m extremely down with. Besides that I have a big passion for technology which helps me survive in the daily computerized chaos. Also I have a great passion for food, not always healthy, but trying ;)
A special message for the Shankra Family?
As it is my first time I am very excited to see what the Shankra vibe is all about. I will give my best to rock all your asses and I hope that we will have the grooviest time of our lives :)
Did you have any difficulties in your career?
Too many to mention. But we learn by leaving our comfort zone.
What do you see yourself doing within the next years?
I hope it will be the same as the last 10 years. Making music and bringing it to all you wonderful people all around the globe.
Where is the place you never have been that you would like to visit?
I haven't been to New Zealand, China or Russia for example so that's definitely on the cards. Besides that I think the Antarctic would be great to visit or any place with extreme nature.
Was there a person in your career who really made an influence?
I think in everybody's career there are a few persons along the way that influence you in good and bad ways. The most important is to stay true to yourself and pursue your own goals and dreams, not somebody else's.
